How Do I become a member?

If you would like to become a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, there are a number of ways to do so:

  • With the agreement of their parents, infants and young children can become members of the universal church through Holy Baptism.
  • If you are already a member of another Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LC-MS) congregation, or another Lutheran Synod with which we are in fellowship, you can ask your pastor to transfer your membership to Trinity Lutheran Church.
  • If you, as a youth or adult, are not a communicant member of an LC-MS congregation or a sister Synod, you are welcome to attend confirmation classes for youth or adults which use Martin Luther’s Small Catechism to set forth the essential teachings of the Old and New Testaments of Scripture. If after taking the classes you are in agreement with what we believe, teach and confess is the Word of God, you are welcome to become a communicant member of the LC-MS and this congregation and to participate with us in all the blessings of salvation which our Lord has given to His Church.

It is our prayer that you will gladly and willingly join us in receiving the eternal gifts which our Lord gives us through His Word and Sacraments, and in sharing those gifts with the world around us. Whether or not you become a member, you are always welcome to worship with us (each Sunday at 10:30am) and join us as we study God’s Word (each Sunday at 9:15am, and other times through the week).

Please feel free to call the church office (318-322-3507), if you have any questions or would like more information on the above.
